Just thought I’d fill you guys in a little on what’s developing (or has developed) in Tallahassee as of late:

The restaurant Buca di Peppo opened yesterday (August 20th) in the Governor’s Square Mall (where Ruby Tuesday’s used to be.)

There will be a Grand Opening for the renovated (Finally!) Lake Jackson Branch Library today at 10am!

I’m not sure when it opened, but apparently there’s a new Greek place where Hip Hop Fish & Chicken used to be called Sammie’s Shawarma! According to the menu seems decent and the price seems right for the Tennessee St. location. I’m definitely going to try it out. (Menu: http://www.sammiesshawarma.com/)

DSW opens Thursday August 23rd. (Where Books O’ Million was on Apalachee Parkway)

Also, I’m sure you’ve noticed Whole Foods is undergoing construction on Thomasville Rd. in Midtown (RIP Miracle 5 we miss you!). Shouldn’t be open until Summer ‘13, but who knows.. 

Also, I heard rumors of a Trader Joes? Who knows about that either.. Only time will tell.

Last, but not least (and don’t judge me, I’m just spreading the word.. not that you don’t already know) Chick Fil A on Tennessee St. opens September 6th.
